I recently found hundreds ‎(thousands?)‎ of ancestors of Mary Sanford, one of the 17th century ancestors up the Prather line. I'm updating the database with all these new family members. I have also incorporated a lot of new lines, via Ancestry.com, that trace back into the 500's and beyond. Of course a lot of that is legend and not really documented to many people's satisfaction, but it is interesting to see how the family *may* have come from all over Eastern and Western Europe and the Middle East.

Also, I hope to meet this week with some family that can help me in getting the last couple of modern generations of second and third cousins up to date. This will add a lot of Eaton descendants. As if this were not enough, I have noticed that the GEDCOM file is getting huge. Most of the notes in the file have now come from multiple sources ‎(different gedcom file names)‎ and have become duplicated. I am going to go through and try to clean a lot of that up, and so far it looks to be a painful, manual process. If anyone knows of a way to to it with a program, please let me know.

The bottom line is that for the next week, I will be making lots of changes and have disabled the online edit capability until that is done. I'll post a news item on this welcome page when the update is complete. Until then, send me any mods or updates and I will incorporate them.
