Title: Is this a real werewolf transformation? Post by: facedown on February 27, 2010, 08:28:05 AM I listened to the "interview with an ex-vampire" series with Bill Schnoeblen.
On part 9 he says that he heard that the transformation at the end of the movie the howling shows a real werewofl transformation. He said they wanted to do it with special effects but did not have enough time so they brought in a real werewofl and filmed it. Check it out. Doesn't look real to me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q58Rimr1dtQ#noexternalembed (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q58Rimr1dtQ#noexternalembed) Title: Re: Is this a real werewolf transformation? And they are wrong but I can see how they "heard" that. This movie marketed itself as having the first real werewolf transformation. It was done with a lot of computer animation that looks better than even what we have today. By real they meant it looks real, the days of "stop motion" transforming werewolves was over. In the last scene with News Reporter Karen turning wolfie on camera, she ended up looking like and Ewok or a Wookie. LOL The clip you showed is a better example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q58Rimr1dtQ Title: Re: Is this a real werewolf transformation? Post by: Winter on February 28, 2010, 01:02:29 PM The first one is pretty good if you have not seen it yet. After that a ton of people made sequels, all in eastern Europe, all sucking. LOL
Then the Eastern Europe vampire movies hit. I watched them all, Bloodstone, Bloodstone: Subspecies, etc......An interesting take on vampires but equally bad. Radu needed a makeover stat! LOL For a more modern werewolf Ginger Snaps was popular with the younger crowd. It was like a modern take on "Carrie" but with 2 sisters, puberty, and revenge on the popular kids. The first one came out in 2000. There were 3. I enjoyed the prequel myself, it was supposedly their ancestors that brought this on them. Then again, nothing scares me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQIj2XTp_y8 Title: Re: Is this a real werewolf transformation? But this cannot have been what they were talking about. They were talking about a guy not a woman and this tranformation sucks cause you see nothing! |
