I understand what you are saying but the specialist wants to know, how in the hell did this fall into the cracks.  By the multiple MRI's and CT's, among many other tests, they knew he had cancer.  He has almost a dozen very large cancerous spots clearly visible.   Several doctors are shocked that no one said a damn thing.  He has obviously had it for quite some time. 

Why did no one tell him in the beginning stages with something that clearly visible?  I believe it is because they thought he was dying anyway so why pay for more treatment.  I am not stupid, just about every woman on one side of my family worked in the medical field as either an RN, or a MD. I know the names of doctors right now who are not allowed to work in the private hospitals such as Baylor because of gross negligence.  In one hospital, the joke is, if they do not lose you in the waiting room,, they will use lose you on the table.  I have heard that for years, the other day another doctor reminded me of that. 

The ones I am speaking of work in the community hospital.  In some cases, you get EXACTLY what you pay for.

True. You often do get exactly what you pay for. But I'm saying don't blame it on socialized medicine, because if you could pay for really good health care, wouldn't you have done it? If you didn't have socialized medicine, where would you be? Is no health care at all better than some health care? This sort of 'falling through the cracks' happens all the time, and not because of socialized medicine....it's happening on a regular basis in private hospitals also, with people who have 'good' health insurance. The insurance companies don't want to pay up, so as soon as something serious occurs, they kick you off their rolls and/or refuse to pay.

Good health care in this country is only for the very wealthy.
