The bible says God is not the author of confusion.

Let's look at what the "we have to bring out newer, better bibles all the time" stuff leads to.

KJV
Zec 13:6  And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.

NIV
If someone asks him, 'What are these wounds on your body [a] ?' he will answer, 'The wounds I was given at the house of my friends.'

NAS
"And one will say to him, 'What are these wounds between your arms?' Then he will say, 'Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.'

The Message
And if someone says, 'And so where did you get that black eye?' they'll say, 'I ran into a door at a friend's house.'  Huh? Huh?
Obviously the false jesus of the message bible is an idiot.  Roll Eyes

Amplified Bible
And one shall say to him, What are these wounds on your breast or between your hands? Then he will answer, Those with which I was wounded [when disciplined] in the house of my [loving] friends.

NLT
And if someone asks, ‘Then what about those wounds on your chest?[a]’ he will say, ‘I was wounded at my friends’ house!’

ESV
6And if one asks him, 'What are these wounds on your back?'[a] he will say, 'The wounds I received in the house of my friends.'

Contemp. English Version

5Instead, they will say, "I'm no prophet. I've been a farmer all my life." [a] 6And if any of them are asked why they are wounded, they will answer, "It happened at the house of some friends."

NKJV
6 And one will say to him, ‘What are these wounds between your arms?’Then he will answer, ‘Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.’

New Century Version
But someone will ask, 'What are the deep cuts on your body?' And each will answer, 'I was hurt at my friend's house.'

Young's Literal Translation
And [one] hath said unto him, `What [are] these wounds in thy hands?' And he hath said, `Because I was smitten [at] home by my lovers.'  yikes

Charles H. Spurgeon: "The craving to alter the Word of God is accursed. This is the crime of the present day. The Lord preserve us from it."
