Whatcha think bout that?
This minister exposes some of the wideheld beliefs in the christian circles (traditions). It's traditions vs. the bible.

He starts off saying he wants to defend God, but he ends up pointing people away from God and promoting a doctrine which actually destroys faith rather than building it up. Luther called it a theology of glory.
“In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him. In my vain life I have seen everything. There is a righteous man who perishes in his righteousness, and there is a wicked man who prolongs his life in his evildoing.” (Ecclesiastes 7:14)
And later: “There is a vanity that takes place on earth, that there are righteous people to whom it happens according to the deeds of the wicked, and there are wicked people to whom it happens according to the deeds of the righteous.” (Ecclesiastes 8:14)

You exalt us when You humble us.
You justify us when You show us to be sinners.
You lead us to heaven when You cast us into hell.
You give us victory when You allow us to be defeated.
You bestow life on us when You give us over to death.
You comfort us when You allow us to grieve.
You make us joyful when You allow us to weep and lament.
You make us strong when we suffer.
You make us wise when You make us fools.
You make us rich when You make us poor.
You make us masters when You allow us to serve.
Innumerable similar wonders are all contained in this one verse and for all of which Christians give thanks in these few words:
"I give thanks to You, for You have disciplined me severely and have become my salvation."
-- Martin Luther, Sermons for the Year 1532, Day by Day, p. 349
(paraphrase from Psalm 118)

Even the idea that we can even tell the difference between what's good and what's bad is problematic. Consider this:
Quote
A farmer had a horse break out of the fence and run away. His neighbor said, “That’s too bad.”
The farmer replied, “How do you know it’s bad?”
The next day the horse came back. Trailing him were a great number of wild horses. Now the farmer had a whole herd of horses. His neighbor said, “That’s good.”
The farmer replied, “How do you know it’s good?”
The next day, the farmer’s son was trying to break one of the wild horses. He was bucked off and broke his leg. His neighbor said, “That’s too bad.”
The farmer said, “How do you know it’s bad?”
The next day, a war broke out. The emperor drafted all the young men into his army. Except the farmer’s son, whose leg was broken. His neighbor said, “That’s good.”
The farmer said, “How do you know it’s good?”. . . .

I don't care one bit what Luther thought. When did Luther become our authority?
Disprove him from the bible and don't quote Luther or human "wisdom" like this horse story.
Many christians have become so perverted in their thinking that they call good evil and evil good. Yeah, being sick is gooood. Right.
That is why Jesus went about doing good and putting diseases on everybody.

The logic test is interesting. It is only meant to show our limitations in judging good and evil. It's a very Jewish type of logic and even has some humour in it...

I was telling you what
I
think. If you don't care what other people think, what are you doing posting on this forum asking questions like "Whatcha think bout that?"

Why bother? You're clearly not interested in listening. Otherwise you would have noticed that I
did
quote the Bible in my first two posts, and simply borrowed Luther's explanation for the second because I agree with it and probably couldn't put it any better.

Yeaah right. We humans are so dumb and God is sooooo far above us that what seems evil to us is actually good. Thanks.
Now I get it. This means that healing people is actually baaaad cause it seems good to us and this means it is bad.
On the other hand being sick is gooood cause it seems bad to us. Wow, now everything makes sense.
This is also why the bible says Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy. This means Satan comes to heal, to resurrect and to rebuild.
Everything which has to do with healing, with resurrecting people or rebuilding something which was broken is from Satan.
